What better way to celebrate the nation’s independence than by filming explosives going off in super slow-motion? PopSci got hold of a Phantom HD and decided to find out exactly what happens when, for example, a number of firecrackers are set off in a jar of mayonnaise.

Speaking of Independence Day, just a reminder that  all AbelCine locations will be closed tomorrow for the Independence Day holiday. We will be back to regular business hours on Friday, July 5, and our NYC office will be open regular Saturday hours (10am-2pm, select services by appointment only) on July 6.

Here’s wishing everyone a wonderful July 4!
