Over 40 years ago, Hedén manufactured one of the first wireless lens controllers. This year at Cine Gear, they debuted the HLC (Hedén Lens Controller) System, an inexpensive, single-channel, Bluetooth wireless lens controller. The HLC controller features an internal antenna, auto-calibration, range limiting and range expansion. The receiver weighs only a few ounces and can control any of the Hedén digital motors, including the standard included vertical model. If not running wirelessly, the controller plugs directly into any Hedén motor, digital or analog, powering the system directly from just the interchangeable, rechargeable battery in the hand unit. Watch the video to find out more on the Hedén HLC.
