Sony recently unveiled their new line-up of XDCAM EX cameras, which includes the 2/3” shoulder mount PMW-350, scheduled for release in January 2010.

Abel’s Andy Shipsides had the chance to take a first look at the 350 recently, and in this video he shares the technology and features that make it an exciting entry into the 2/3” broadcast market. You can read more about the camera on our blog, CineTechnica.

Part I – Camera Overview

Andy gives a tour of the PMW-350’s features including the new 2/3-inch CMOS sensor, viewfinder, and all the inputs and outputs of the camera. He highlights the features of the camera that make it a full-featured production tool.

Part II – Under the Hood of the PMW-350

Andy goes into the menus of the 350 to show the functions of the camera and improvements over the EX1 and EX3. The 350 shares many of the menus and settings of higher-end Sony cameras for an exceptional degree of control over the look of the recorded image.
