Topics NAB 2017

NAB is almost here and we’re all gearing up to head out to Vegas. To help kick off the show, we have once again gathered Andy, Jeff, and Megan in our Chicago Learning Point to discuss industry trends and what they’re excited about at NAB 2017. Some key themes they touched on include HDR, VR / 360º video, live streaming, large sensor cameras, optics, lighting, and connected devices.

On that note, we are also excited to announce that we will be featuring in-depth panel presentations on these topics and more in our booth this year. We will be joined by industry experts, cinematographers, directors, and other creatives on a series of panels that really dive into each theme. And like last year, we have arranged special tours to the top manufacturers’ booths — such as ARRI, Canon, Panasonic, Sony, and Nokia — that you can sign up for to get the most inside information from our vendors. For the latest NAB information and to sign up for our tours, visit our dedicated NAB 2017 hub or stop by our booth at C8215!

We’ve also got good news for those who won’t be able to make it to NAB this year: we’ll be live streaming all of our presentations (as well as the panels we’re hosting at Teradek’s booth C6025) directly on our NAB page.

What are you most looking forward to seeing at the show? Let us know in the comments below.

The lightweight, Li-Ion CINE batteries are available in either Gold Mount or V-Mount and boast up to 12 amps of continuous power.

Astra-Chart.indd

Litepanels’ Astra series is designed with premium quality, high CRI, surface-mount LEDs, which are paired with custom designed TIR (total internal reflection) optics. The design follows the one square foot form factor of many popular Litepanels models. Now, with the introduction of the Astra Soft Bi-Color LED panel, the Astra line offers a diffused lens with a soft light alternative, which replicates the effect of a softbox. The Astra line is compact, portable, and powerful.

Check out our new chart, above, for an overview of the key technical specs for each model. These specifications also translate into differences in production workflow, all of which need to be taken into consideration when choosing the right Astra for your project.
