Freefly Systems revealed some big news today: they’ve dropped prices on their popular MōVI M5 and M10 stabilizers, and released pricing info on the new M15. Freefly has definitely experienced some rapid growth during the last few years, and they’ve taken advantage of improved efficiency in their manufacturing process to pass these savings to the customers. Below is a rundown of the new pricing:

Old Price: $4,995
New Price: $3,995

The MōVI M5 is designed for compact cameras under five pounds, such as the 5D Mark III, Blackmagic Pocket Camera, and the Sony A7s. Watch Andy’s At the Bench video to see how easy it is to balance everything from a DSLR all the way up to the Canon C100.

Old Price: $14,995
New Price: $7,995

The MōVI M10 is designed to hold camera packages up to 12 pounds, including the RED EPIC/Scarlet, Canon EOS C300/C500, and Blackmagic Cinema Camera. Download this MōVI comparison chart for a guide to compatible camera models.

Newly Announced Price: $11,995

For more information and a closer look at the M15, watch my interview with Freefly’s Tabb Firchau back at NAB 2014.

It’s important to note that these price drops are not a limited-time promotion – they apply to all new MōVI units going forward. With these competitive new prices, Freefly has ensured that filmmakers of all levels can take advantage of the creativity that the MōVI system allows.
