With the capability of the Canon C100 and the newly updated 5D Mark III to output uncompressed video with 422 color, the two cameras can both be set up with the Ninja 2 recorder from Atomos.

The Ninja 2 paired with the C100 or 5D Mark III gives the ability to record ProRes and DNxHD, as well as utilize 422 color space. With 50Mbps still being the minimum data rate for broadcast delivery, the Ninja 2 is an ideal solution for users who need a lightweight and affordable solution that allows them to record quality well beyond the broadcast minimum.

Watch my video above to learn how to set up the C100 to trigger record on the Ninja 2 and how to set up the 5D Mark III for a clean uncompressed output. If you want to learn more about working with the C100, make sure to check out our full-day C100 workshop taking place soon in NY!
