Following the popularity of its sister lens, the Cabrio 19-90 T2.9 zoom, the new Fuji Premier PL Cabrio 85-300 is similarly small and lightweight. It also includes a removable handgrip servo control. The Cabrio 85-300 has a maximum aperture of T2.9 from 85-200mm, and from 200-300mm it ramps to T4. With an overall length under 10” and a weight of about 6.6 lbs., the lens is ideally suited for handheld shooting. A focus rotation of 200-degrees allows for precise focus adjustment, and the front diameter of the lens is an industry-standard 114mm, which can fit with many popular matteboxes. The handgrip servo is equipped with three digital motors so that it can integrate with popular lens controls such as Preston for remote control of focus, iris and zoom (FIZ).

The image circle projection is rated at 31.5mm, meaning that the Cabrio 85-300 will cover all Super-35 sensors as well as the full sensor areas of RED 5K (EPIC and Scarlet), ARRI 4:3 (ALEXA Studio, M, Plus 4:3 and D21) and 2.6K on the Phantom Flex and v642.

The Fuji Premier PL Cabrio 85-300 T2.8-4 is expected to ship in early Spring 2013.
