Recently Marshall Electronics introduced the V-LCD56MD monitor to address the ever-changing camera landscape. It has a versatile design that allows operators to cold swap modules to fit varied production requirements. The monitor is available in three configurations: without a module (V-LCD56MD), with an output module that features two 3G HD-SDI outputs converted from the HDMI (V-LCD56MD-O), or with a 3G input module with loop-through (V-LCD56MD-3G).
This 1280×800 on-board monitor is lightweight, making it ideal for use with a HDSLR or a compact camcorder. It features an HDMI input that can be looped through, and, when used with the optional MDO-3G module, two HD-SDI outputs that are 3G capable. It also has 1/4-20 tapped holes on each side, making it super easy to rig, and a built-in LCD cover. Watch my video above to learn more about this versatile new monitor.
