A couple days ago I got my hands on the latest prototype of Panasonic’s AF100 camera. I was able to try out some of the features such as the ability to conveniently dial-in frame rate up to 1080/60p, built-in ND filters which preserve shallow depth-of-field when using fast lenses, and the new hi-res LCD screen with focus-in-red mode. Watch my video above to learn more and stay tuned for some upcoming test footage.
Additionally, Abel has put together some new bundles for the AF100 that are designed to get you shooting right away with cards, batteries, and lenses. We have three kits: the Essential Starter Kit, the Indie Starter Kit, and Cine Starter Kit. These kits were designed to fit many common applications, but obviously one size doesn’t fit all. Feel free to contact Abel if you’d like to customize a package to better fit your shooting needs. Abel is now accepting $500 deposits for the AF100 which is expected to start shipping in December.
